How do I send an email to a contact?
In the contact Profile block, click the email icon next to the address: the Send email modal opens with the contact already in To. It is the same delivery as an email broadcast, just for one person — it uses email credits and is listed among email broadcasts as subject · contact.
Before you start
- Where: the Profile block shows in Live Chat (panel next to the conversation), in the opportunity (contact column) and on the contact page.
- Role: the email icon only shows for people who can create broadcasts.
- Sender: you need a confirmed email sender. See email domain.
- Contact: must have a valid email and must not have unsubscribed from your emails.
Steps
- In the Profile block, click the email icon next to the contact's address.
- In Sender, pick who sends and click Continue.
- In Message, fill in the Subject and build the content — pick a template or open the visual editor (see how do I build the email content in the editor?). The editor opens full screen and, when you close it, you are back in the modal with your work intact.
- To check it first, use Send test.
- In When to send, keep Send now, use a shortcut (In 1 hour, Today, Tomorrow) or pick the day on the calendar and the time (Brasília time). The summary line says when the email goes out, and the side panel shows the email preview on a phone.
- Click Finish and send (or Finish and schedule). The modal shows Email sent to name or Send scheduled, with the date.
If something blocks the send
Pending items show in the modal footer, with what is missing:
- Empty subject or content: Continue does not move on until it is filled in.
- Name no longer receives your emails: the contact unsubscribed; sending to them is blocked and the To strip shows Unsubscribed.
- The contact's email is invalid: fix the email on the contact profile and open the modal again.
- Not enough credits: top up the workspace email credits.
