  • How do I connect Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube to Clickmax?

Go to Settings → Accounts center → Social media and click the network. On the network screen, click Connect with the network name (for example, Connect Instagram). A 3-step assistant takes you to the network to authorize and brings you back with the account connected.

    Before you start

    • The Manage permission of Redes sociais — see Roles and permissions. Without it, the Start button of the assistant is off.
    • Instagram: a professional account (Business or Creator) linked to a Facebook Page.
    • Facebook: you must be an admin of the Pages you want to connect. Personal profiles do not post from here.
    • TikTok: the TikTok app on the account owner's phone, to open the drafts.
    • YouTube: sign in with the Google account that has the channel.

In the menu, the Instagram item of the Messaging group is a different one: it connects Instagram to answer direct messages. To publish posts, use the Instagram item of the Social media group.

    Steps

    1. Go to Settings → Accounts center → Social media and click the network: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube.
    2. Click Connect with the network name. If the network has no account yet, the button is in the middle of the screen.
    3. In the Before you start step, check the list of what you need and click Start.
    4. In the Authorize step, click Authorize on with the network name. Sign in to the network with the right account and confirm the permissions.
    5. You come back to Clickmax on your own, in the Done step. While Clickmax finishes, Finishing the connection… shows. Then Account connected shows with the account name.
    6. Click See accounts to see the account on the network screen, as Connected. Or click Create post to write the first post.

Finish the authorization without stopping: the connection request is valid for a short time.

    Pick the Facebook Pages

On Facebook, the authorization does not say which Page to post to. When you come back, in the Done step, Clickmax opens Pick the Facebook Pages:

    1. Check the Pages Clickmax will post to. You can pick up to 25.
    2. Click Connect Pages.

Then Pages connected shows, and each Page becomes a separate account on the Facebook screen. If a Page does not connect, the Could not connect: message shows its name and the reason. If no Page connects, or you close the list without picking, click Try again to start over.

    YouTube in beta

YouTube shows the Beta badge. YouTube limits how many videos Clickmax sends per day. When the daily limit runs out, the upload fails and you can try again the next day.

If YouTube does not show in Social media, the beta is not on in your workspace yet. YouTube channels already connected keep showing and can be reconnected.

    Reconnect an account

When the network removes the authorization, the account shows Needs to reconnect. The network card in Social media shows Reconnect, and a banner warns at the top of the network screen.

    1. In Settings → Accounts center → Social media, open the network of the account.
    2. On the account card, click Reconnect.
    3. Authorize again on the network. You come back to the Done step of the assistant.

Posts scheduled after that go out again. Uploads that failed while the account had no authorization stay Failed: open each post and click Try again — see Why was my social media post not published?.

    Disconnect an account

    1. On the network screen, click Disconnect on the account card.
    2. Confirm with Disconnect.

Scheduled posts, drafts and failed posts of that account are cancelled. Posts already published stay on the network. The account stays at the end of the list as Disconnected; to use it again, connect it again with the assistant.

    If it did not work

    • "You cancelled the authorization on the network." The network screen was closed or refused. Click Try again.
    • "This connection request expired or another person started it. Click Connect to start again." The way back took too long, or another person in the workspace started this connection. Click Try again and finish without stopping.
    • "This Facebook account does not manage any Page." Sign in with the Facebook account that manages the Page.
    • "The authorization came back for another connection. Start again." Click Try again.
    • "No Page was connected. Start again to pick the Pages." Click Try again and check at least one Page.
    • "YouTube is not available for this workspace yet." The YouTube beta is not on in your workspace. Contact support.
    • "The connection could not be finished. Try again." Try once more. If it happens again, contact support.
