  • Why was my social media post not published?

Open the post from Posts or the Calendar. On the upload marked Failed, Clickmax shows the reason. Fix what it asks and click Try again.

    Before you start

    Try again

    1. In Posts or the Calendar, click the post.
    2. On the upload with Failed, read the reason and fix what it asks (see the table below).
    3. Click Try again. The New attempt scheduled. message confirms it.

To send at another time, use New time and Save time on the same upload.

    What each reason means

The connection to the network expired. Reconnect the account and try again. In Settings → Accounts center → Social media, open the network and click Reconnect on the account card. Then go back to the post and click Try again.
The network limited posting for now. Clickmax already retried on its own; try again later.Wait a little and click Try again.
The publishing service was down. Try again in a few minutes.Click Try again in a few minutes.
The network refused the media. Check the format, size and length. The media of a saved post does not change: create a new post with the fixed media — see Which limits of each network does Clickmax check?.
The network refused the post under its rules. Review the content and try again.Review the text and the media. If you need to change the content, create a new post.
The post could not be published. Try again.Click Try again. If it happens again, contact support and share the text of the upload's Technical detail.

When the network limits posting, is down or does not answer, Clickmax tries again on its own up to 3 times, over about 20 minutes, before it marks Failed. When the connection expires or the network refuses the media or the post, it marks Failed at once, because trying again would not help. When the connection expires, the account also moves to Needs to reconnect.

    Failure alerts

When a scheduled post does not go out or an account loses its authorization, Clickmax warns the workspace owner and administrators in two ways:

    • In the notification bell, with the Social post not published and Social account needs to reconnect alerts. The alert opens the post or the Social media screen in Settings. The reconnect email opens the network screen of the account directly.
    • By email. At most one email per hour goes out for each type; for the reconnect email, that hour counts separately for each account.

To turn the bell alert on or off, see How do I choose which notifications I get in the app and on my phone?.

While an account needs to reconnect, the area also shows a banner at the top, with the See accounts button.
